If you do about 12 or maybe a dozen of videos per month, then it is more than likely that you are not getting many views. You are giving your audience too many mixed videos. Make your content specific, unique and somewhat particular. Give your audience the same kind of content. For example: if you begin with posting videos about “Dangerous Stunts Done at Night”, then this should be the content that you stick with. This is what your audience is looking to see from you. If you post other content that does not fall into this category, your audience will become uninterested. 

Keep your video short and to the point. Creating a video that’s nine or ten minutes long will only loose the viewers interest unless it’s really, really interesting. The average video should be just between ten seconds to five minutes. Anything longer than this will probably deter your viewer away from your video. Do not waste any time with long intros and monologues, just do the video and let it speak for itself.

It is not necessary to add things like producer’s name or camera operator. Just get to hilarious, crazy or cute part as quickly as possible. Remember that you are looking for repeated visitors and not just a single view. Therefore, you want to be sure to post a video that would make your viewer watch it a dozen times and even send to friends to watch also. 

You are allowed to include keywords tags with every video that you post. You need to create as many keywords tags as possible because it helps You Tube categorize your video. Be sure that you enter relevant keyword tags. Quick Tip: You Tube will penalize you for including keywords that are not relevant to your video. If you are not sure about what keywords to use, try searching for videos that are similar by category and look at their keywords, or either you can do a keyword search in Google.

You can also boost traffic to your videos by sharing and promoting on other social media networks and blogs. If you have a Face book, Twitter or My space, then you can post your video a few times per day on such sites to gain maximum exposure.

You can also subscribe to other users channels and even add them as friends. This is a great tool because whenever a video is posted both will get a notification. Add as many friends possible to your profile to boost the number of You Tube view hits.

Let the web be your promotion outlet. Post your video links in as many places as you possibly can. You need to get your video seen by as many people as possible. You can even try posting in forums that are related to the type of content your video is about. For example: if you’ve posted a video about “Babies Gone Wild”, then your best bet is to post in forums that are about babies only. It does not matter if they mostly talk about baby bottles or diapers; the unique word here is baby. The content is specific to the word baby so this will be your ideal forum.

Do not forget to participate in the community on You Tube. You need to become interactive watch others videos and leave some comments and ratings. If you are an active member of the community, chances of you receiving more views become better. When you receive comments for your video, always comment back to others to get the communication open. 

You can also remind viewers to subscribe to your channel in the description field of every upload to post. Once a viewer subscribe then a link to the channel will show on his or her profile. This link will also encourage his or her friend to subscribe as well. You can also try the method of clicking the most popular or most watched video on YouTube, make some comments to the post in order to get an answer back. This draws some attention to your channel and videos, henceforth, more views for your effort.

Search for channels that have the most views for their video. Create remarks to most well liked channels. Those with highly well liked videos and those that have more than a few popular videos will have an admired channel page.
